"For I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you invited me into your home. I was naked and you gave me clothes. I was sick and you cared for me. I was in prison and you visited me."  Matthew 25:35-36 (NLT)

HELPING FAMILIES

  GET HOME

We know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support.

OUR MISSION

To provide a safe environment for struggling families, giving back dignity and respect, while fostering self-sufficiency.

OUR VISION

Our desire is to provide short-term shelter to families who suddenly find themselves without a home and give them the resources they need to achieve long-term success. We provide A Hand Up instead of a hand-out.

LATEST NEWS
At A Hand Up, we're continually working with our partners to find families that we can assist, and bring them into our facility as room becomes available.
In addition to food and shelter, we've been providing our residents with services they needed, yet, for varied reasons, were unable to obtain on their own. As a result of our efforts, children were enrolled in school for the first time. We arranged medical and dental appointments for some of the children at our facility. We assisted residents in getting vital documents like birth certificates, driver's license, and immunization records. We arranged counseling for residents who needed it, and helped residents restore, and others get new cell phone service.
As we prayerfully try to make a positive impact on their lives, we still solicit your prayers and donations. *Because we're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry, donations are tax
deductible as allowed by law.
